Michael Kawalek

Michael Kawalek started as a trial lawyer litigating complex commercial disputes before shifting to appellate practice.
His career began at a nationally recognized bet-the-business litigation boutique, where he represented Fortune 100 and multinational companies in courts across the United States and in England. After joining an appellate boutique in Dallas, he first appeared before the Texas Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit, and intermediate courts of appeals across Texas.
He later founded Kawalek Law PLLC in 2020 to give trial teams access to dedicated appellate counsel on demand.
Michael's solo practice spans civil appeals and pretrial motion practice in state and federal courts, and he has represented appellants facing exposure ranging from six figures to $1.15 billion.
He personally handles every engagement, from intake through oral argument, and can be as collaborative or as autonomous as the client prefers.
